The San Felipe 250 is the season opener for the SCORE International race series. This
year’s event was a wild one, with two teams setting a blistering pace early. The WFOx
Motorsports team of Colton Udall and Dirt Bike magazine test rider Justin Jones got out
to an early lead, only to have the THR/Precision Concepts team of Ricky Brabec, Max
Eddy and Justin Morgan run them down. About the halfway point, the WFOx team would
take the lead aboard their Honda CRF450X and never give it up. Max Eddy had a couple
hard crashes on the THR Kawasaki, eventually handing the bike off to Justin Morgan. After
some emergency changing of parts, Morgan hit some very impressive top speeds on his
way to the finish line in third place. Another WFOx team, piloted by Mark Samuels and Ray
Dal Soglio, brought their Honda across the line in second place.
