With rain drenching the Southern California
deserts for weeks leading up to the ;rst round
of National Hare & Hound, racing conditions
couldn’t have been better. It’s crazy to think
of a desert race without dust, but that is what
happened. JCR Honda-mounted Ricky Brabec
and Red Bull KTM’s Taylor Robert ;nished one
second apart after over 100 miles of racing.
dominated the Women’s Pro class at her
Hare & Hound race.
Purvines/DA8 Yamaha rider Gary Sutherlin is tough.
He ;nished third overall
and didn’t have goggles
for half the race!
Destry Abbott was the hare
during the youth event on
Saturday. We can’t think of a
better person to teach the next
generation of desert racers.
Jacob Argubright put his
factory Husqvarna up front
early but had to settle for
fourth overall, coming in eight
seconds behind third place.

Have you ever seen this many riders together on the racecourse without a spec of dust or mud? We can’t say we have.
