PIVOT TURNS WITH GEOFF AARON
Tip: Practice flatland feet-up turns first. Use bar/peg pressure to initiate
turns by leaning the bike between your legs while you stay centered. ❏
Approach slowly and begin to
turn, then wheelie deliberately
into the obstacle.
The front wheel should deflect in the direction you are turning and get things in motion.
Anticipate the amount of movement and
adjust your body accordingly.
Staying centered is key. The bike
should be leaning the direction of the
turn, and the rider’s outside elbow
and knee should be slightly bent in
order to follow through correctly.
Apply the clutch and rear brake at
the apex and the bike will pivot on
the rear wheel. Use the throttle to
keep your balance, and power out
of the turn.
