FEBRUARY 2015 / DIRT BIKE 103
PRODUCT: The Power Quiet KTM end cap is
simple, functional and easy to install. It replaces
the stock end cap on the KTM EXC and XCW mufflers, retains its spark-arrestor legality and offers a
substantial power gain and a very low decibel raise.
By keeping the stock muffler, which is strong and
well-designed, the Power Quiet folks promote quiet
power via the CNC-machined (black or silver) end
cap device. The outlet tube matches the muffler’s
evacuation tube, which makes for the power gain.

POSITIVE: The installation takes minutes, and
the performance gain is stunning. It’s immediate
gratification, as all facets of the powerband
receive a shot, but it’s the broadness and depth
of the power that really shine. Yes, the noise level
increases, but its very subtle and totally acceptable
in the off-road arena.
One note here: if you own an EXC, you will
gain big by “cranking up” the TPS via the
BestDualSportBikes.com TPS tuner. It simply
increases the output voltage of the TPS unit. On
the EXC it relieves the machine of decel popping
and improves bottom performance.
BOTTOM LINE: When money is an object and
performance is key on your KTM XCW/EXC, the
Power Quiet end cap gets the full thumbs up. The
product is durable, simple to install and does what
it says. EXC owners will benefit from the BDSB TP
tuner, which is a simple plug-and-play device that
helps the power.
The Power Quiet end cap sells for $159.95, the
TPS tuner is $89.95, and there’s an excellent tutori-
al on their website on using the tool and settings. ❏
