This is the most expensive form of racing in the off-road world. It akes much more than a talented rider and a fast motorcycle to
compete in the World Rally Series. It takes a support crew of hundreds. The Dakar Rally is the most visible example of this form of
racing, but there’s a whole series, and it has more factory support
than any form of off-road racing in the U.S. And while Dakar is now
held in South America, a half world away from its namesake, others
are still held in the sands of the North African desert.
More like Dakar than Dakar
Paulo Gonclaves won the Morocco Rally and the World Championship.
