Precision Concepts finally gets the crown jewel
FINALLY ON TOP
The Glen Helen 24-Hour Endurance Race is the final round of the John Burr Endurance Race series held
in San Bernardino, California. The series consists of three
separate races held throughout the year at the Glen
Helen OHV park: a six-hour event, a 10-hour event and
the crown jewel: the 24-hour event. Bob Bell, owner of
Precision Concepts, has been part of the Glen Helen
24-Hour Endurance Race one way or another since its
inception over 10 years ago. Precision Concepts has won
the event many times as a suspension sponsor or race
bike builder for teams, but since 2009 they have been trying to capture the win for themselves aboard a Kawasaki
KX450F. Coming within three seconds of the win after
24 solid hours of racing at last year’s event was a huge
motivating factor for the team. 2014 would be Precision
Concepts’ year. After 24 hours of battling with the WFOx
Motorsports Honda team captained by Mark Samuels and
the Three Brothers KTM team captained by Nick Stover,
the Precision team of Robby Bell, Ryan Dudek, Ryan
Abbatoye and Justin Seeds finally emerged victorious.
This year’s event saw a huge resurgence of two-stroke
machines—new or old, they were back with a vengeance.
Dirt Bike editor Ron Lawson even got in on the action
building a CR250R that is featured in this issue. ❏
The WFOx Honda team charged all race long, actually holding
the race lead before having bike problems.
The Precision Concepts team of Robby Bell, Ryan Dudek,
Ryan Abbatoye and Justin Seeds took the overall win and the
lion’s share of the $5000 pro purse.
