It’s not easy being Nick Burson. He’s not a high- profile, off-road celebrity. He doesn’t wear a helmet with a colorful bull, and he doesn’t fly around
the world to ride in exotic places. He’s a down-in-the-trenches off-road racer riding from week to
week in the glamour-less scene of District 37.
There’s no TV coverage and no purse money, just
an incredibly long season in the harsh environment
of the Mojave Desert.
And he loves it. In fact, this year he loves it even
more, because he’s a member of the Purvines
Racing team for 2013, which means he’ll have better equipment and better support than he’s used to.
He’s riding a Beta 498 in District 37, Best in the
Desert and the Hare and Hound series, which
makes for a very busy schedule.
