There’s an old saying that “when you start with a Rolls Royce, it’s pretty hard to screw it up!” The majority of
our staff feels likewise about the 2015 Kawasaki
KX450F. In the motocross arena, this
machine is as state of the art as a
stocker can humbly profess. The
powerplant is stunning. The juice
factor is broad and usable. The
suspension is the best of the air fork
world via the Showa Triple Air, and little stuff like handling, starting and braking all illicit cries of wonder from the
bike’s pilots. Our primary goal was not to screw it up, but
because one third of the Dirt Bike staff is on the larger side,
we wanted suspension that catered
to the 200-plus-pounder.
This baby doesn’t need much!
