The internal differences between the stock end cap (right)
and the Power Quiet end cap are the stocker uses a
wraparound flow to help deaden sound, which is hugely
effective, where the Power Quiet unit uses an aluminum
base with shapes and radiuses to determine exhaust
evacuation and sound-deadening properties.
It takes mere minutes to install the Power Quiet end cap,
and because the flow is more in line, the power gain is
substantial. www.bestdualsportbikes.com, $164.95
The standard suspension is pretty decent for off-road
applications, though too soft for any pilots over a buck
eighty. We simply went to a stiffer spring fore and aft and
cured the dilemma.
With the newfound bottom-power improvement and a couple of
setup and suspension tips, we made great inroads into a better-handling and snappier 350.❏
The Seat Concepts saddle is a big improvement over the
stocker, which has a cover that is hard and slick. We fit
on a tall foam kit and with their cover. The unit is wider in
the sit zone, and the cover offers very good grip.
Getting the handlebars up to fit your height (for taller
pilots) is as easy as getting KTM Power Parts risers. They
fit under the stock bar perches and raise the bars 10mm.
