ROOST QUICK HITS
LITTLE WET With rain falling lightly, Ivan Ramirez leads Jacob Argubright by a few yards, as they get with- in probably a mile of the finish, splashing through a creek in Caliente.
KTM FOR DAVID David Pearson attacks a down- hill just after alternate pit 2, around 82 miles into the race. This is one of Kurt’s bikes from 2011. Dean Potts bought it from KTM and had Precision Concepts prep it for this race.
SUPERMAN Ronnie Renner flies higher than anyone on the planet during the finals at this year’s X Games Step Up event held in the City of Angels. BROKEN Cody Webb’s bro- ken foot and all stayed this close to Taddy most of the main event and eventually finished third behind Mike Brown. Cody is one very tough dude!
THREE IN A ROW Kurt Caselli wrapped up his third National Hare and Hound in a row, with one round still remaining in the 2013 series. At this time, it’s uncertain if he will return to attempt a fourth.

OUT WI TH A BANG Eli Tomac made a statement during his final outdoor season on the 250F, wrapping up the 2013 title with one round remaining. Will he be as successful on a 450? Only time will tell.
After a decade of holding summer X Games events, it’s all over for the City of Angels, because for 2014, the entire show moves to Austin, Texas. This year’s event saw Taddy Blazusiak take the gold medal home in Men’s Enduro X, while Laia Sanz took top Women’s Enduro X honors. History was made in the Best Whip competition, with Vicky Golden becoming the first female to ever com- pete, and she did her sisters proud and ended up taking home third place behind vet- erans Josh Hansen and Jeremy Stenberg. Golden also won the Women’s Moto X for the second year in a row, thanks to a little help from Meghan Rutledge’s early celebration and ill-timed tip-over. Justin Brayton took home the gold in Men’s Moto X racing, beating out Josh Hill with a final-lap pass for the front spot. Chris Blose finished with the bronze. Ronnie Renner won gold in the Step Up competition, making it look effortless and beating out long-time rival Matt Buyten and newcomer Libor Podmol. We are definitely sad to see the summer X Games leave our backyard, but looking forward to seeing all that Austin, Texas, has to offer. After all, they say everything is bigger in Texas! NEW RACE, SAME PLACE Kurt Caselli approaching the main pit in Panaca at mile 54. It was at the exact location of an old Bi TD pit.
