NATIONAL ENDURO: RATTLESNAKE
BOBBITT FINALLY WINS AGAIN Russell Bobbitt snagged his first win of the season at the Rattlesnake Enduro in Cross Fork, Pennsylvania. Bobbitt led an all-Husaberg podium, giving some credit to his late-starting number and a very slick and rocky course that hampered the earlier AA racers.
HEPLER IS BACK RACING Former factory motocross star Broc Hepler hit the National Enduro scene again (carded a 17th overall earlier in the month), battling to second in class and 14th overall. Not bad for a guy known to bust doubles, not chew on rocky slime.
RYDER, RYDER! What, another Lafferty threatening the National Enduro scene? Yes, sir, it’s none other than Ryder Lafferty, Mike’s nephew, and he carded a big win in the 250 A class with 13th overall. MULLY IN CHARGE Charlie is still leading the enduro points by a good margin, but the Rattlesnake wasn’t in his wheelhouse. He struggled all day, not liking that he couldn’t see the trail and having issues cor- nering. Still, fourth overall ain’t too shabby. FAIR TO MIDLAND Radiant AirGroup Racing’s Nick Fahringer and his Husaberg grabbed his fourth runner-up fin- ish of the season. He started slow, but rallied winning the final two tests of the day.
NEW GUY Zach Osborne may be new to racing off-road, but he is no stranger to racing overseas. Zach raced a couple years on the World GP circuit.
WINNING Factory KTM rider Charlie Mullins has won GNCC and National Enduro events in 2013. Now he looks to add an ISDE gold medal to the trophy case. DECISIONS, DECISIONS Thad Duval has raced both a Honda 250F and 450F with great results on both; which will he choose when representing the U.S. in Italy?
