Paul Whibley is without a doubt one of the most dominant men to ever race off-road. His
playgrounds are the wooded, rutted and hacked-out world of GNCC racing and the singletrack of
Bill Gusse’s OMA off-road series. With two GNCC
titles and five OMA number-one plates, the New
Zealander has proven that hard work, an off-the-charts training regimen and spending as much
time on the bike as possible are the keys to winning championships.
While Paul was on sabbatical and recovering
from surgery, we talked with him to learn what
works and why, and how it relates to average off-roaders.
