LUCAS OIL PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP
Ken Roczen’s first moto exploded when he was challenging Will Hahn for the lead; he seemed to hit a land mine and
crashed violently. He came back in moto two with a second,
though Tomac did work through the pack and pass him en
route to his win.
Ryan Dungey struggled in moto one, but came back for a
second moto win.
Tomac was aggro mated to Roczen’s unfortunate first-moto
crash and DNF has put the Geico Honda rider comfortably
into the points-chase lead with a double moto win.
Jeremy Martin’s dad not only owns the track, he was one
of the fastest enduro riders in the late ’70s and early 80s.
Jeremy fought hard in moto one, leading for a good chunk
before Eli put it down and took the win. Still, a 2-7 result has
the youngest Martin taking fourth overall.
Great racing at Spring Creek’s superb facility was enhanced by
cool weather, which kept the racing at higher speeds. Here’s
Martin, Roczen and Musquin trying to share the same airspace.
