Taylor Robert won for the second year in a row after Cory Graffunder
broke a shift lever. Graffunder was second, with Sandoval, Gerston
and Morgan the only riders credited with official finishes.
In the race’s previous two runnings, the best racers criticized it for
not being tough enough. This year, that wasn’t an issue. ;
Cory Graffunder gapped Taylor Robert in this rock section, only to lose it
all on the next hill.
Justin Morgan rode in the company of giants; he
was the last official finisher in fifth place.
Max Gerston had more energy than anyone at
the finish. He rode circle wheelies at the checkered flag.
This manmade water hole took out more than
a fair share of riders. At first, competitors
were expected to ride the 2x6 planks.
Justin Jones made it to the final, but after a
number of crashes, decided to call it quits at the
